Santa Gertrudis is located in the heart of the island of Ibiza. Roads to the four cardinal points start from this locality. The most common routes start from the south, coming from the Sant Antoni road or from the Santa Eulária road.
Access to the church of Santa Gertrudis is quite simple, since we only have to take the turn to the left, if we come from Ibiza, and access ascending, towards a pedestrian zone where the church is located.
It presents a quite unusual color, mixing the typical white facade with details in bright orange tones that offer a more artistic composition. The entrance porch, built towards the end of the 19th century, has a peculiar image of Christ above the main door.
In addition, the side walls are quite different from the rest of the churches, since one contains numerous doors and windows, atypical in this type of construction, which suggest a later addition to the original building, next to the oven located on the opposite wall.
